So here are pictures of the cakes I made this past weekend. They turned out alright I could have done Bradley's better, but live and learn. Oh but first here is a picture of round 1 of the top layer on Katie's cake. As you can tell it didn't quite make it! I guess thats what happens when you try and do too many things at once! Also Katie's Castle cake was supposed to have towers on the top of the first and second layer of the cake. Unfortunately my body wasn't going to let me stand too much longer, so it got balloons instead! However this was my first time trying out fondant icing and it worked!
I'm absolutely flabbergasted by the castle cake. That thing is incredible! They both look too good to eat. You definitely have a talent for cake decorating.
The cakes were absolutely adorable, as I was lucky enough to see them in person, and delicious too. At least I know the castle cake was yummy. We were eating by Katie's rules, the girls got her cake and the boys got Bradley's cake. I was very impressed at how well the fondant turned out. I'm not sure that is something I would ever attempt.
Kell that's amazing! You've come a long way since high school disasters we use to make together! Remember those cup cakes that one time? This is bringing back memories of all the good stuff I would eat at your house...I need to make some Muddy Buddies ASAP! Haha! I love the cakes, they are awesome, what a talent! We need to get together soon, I miss you and hope you're doing well.
The party was so fun. The kids were so excited to open their presents, and Bradley was very patient and waited for Katie to open all of her's first. It was cute to see. The cakes were adorable and how fun to have someone willing to make ALL the family Birthday cakes. It was also very nice to meet Brent's girl friend....She is a cutie and very sweet.
You should be on the Food Network show, "Ace of Cakes". Have you ever thought of working at a shop that makes cakes? And by the way, Have you seen some of those? AMAZING decoration styles, and the creativity..
I think we will make a fondant cake together when I come home. We can give it to the homeless or something since I don't eat calories like that anymore. But I haven't attempted it yet and want to. What a great sisterly bonding moment we can have!

Well, I am sad that my birthday has passed already. I had no idea we had a family member that was brave enough to try something like the castle cake!
I think they are both adorable, and fit the birthday kids to a T.
You are amazing!
I tagged you!
